Public Relations (PR) Photography
Public Relations or 'Subliminal Advertising' can be a very varied and rewarding field to work in.
Combining people and props to produce visually stunning, memorable and newsworthy imagery is always a challenge and I derive great satisfaction in getting it right.
Public Relations, often referred to as PR is defined as building up a positive image of an organization or individual in the eyes of the public without any direct payment being made for the publicity.
High quality, creative photography is an essential part of any PR campaign.
Positive publicity can be achieved in many ways using a variety of media but the visual presentation of a public interest story or event is often as important or more important than the article that accompanies it.
A stunning image will catch the attention of the editor and it is likely to be published even if the accompanying story isn't particularly strong.Editors are desparate for copy for their publications and strong imagery can transform a page. Therefore, imaginative professional photography is always worth the investment.
PR can be used to build rapport with employees, customers, investors, shareholders, voters or the general public. Any organization that has a stake in how it is portrayed in the public arena will benefit from good public relations.
